Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test - MP PET 2011

Madhya Pradesh Pre-Engineering Test (PET) is for admission to Bachelor in Engineering (B.E.) course in various technical institutes in Madhya Pradesh. Every year many students across Madhya Pradesh appear for Madhya Pradesh PET to get admission in the best engineering institutes in the state.  The exam is conducted in various centers in order to provide comfort to the students. The students have to be more conscious about this exam and need to work harder to get admission in the reputed institutes of Madhya Pradesh.

MP PET 2011 Eligibility

A candidate should pass 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply for this exam.
Also a candidate should not be more than 21 years (24 years for SC/ST) on 1st October, 2011.
Those students who are applying for Madhya Pradesh seats should have a Madhya Pradesh domicile for which a candidate should have at least been educated for 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years in an institution in Madhya Pradesh.

Domicile Requirements

  1. The candidate is a Citizen of India.
  2. The candidate has been educated in an educational institution located in M.P. for at least three consecutive years during the five years period from the year of examination.
  3. The candidate is a bonafide resident of M.P.
  4. The candidate is a son or daughter of
    • An employee or a pensioner of the Government of M.P. or an employee of the Government of M.P. who died while in service of these State or an officer of the All India Services borne on the cadre of M.P.
    • A Central Government employee including employee of Defence Establishments, employee of Post & Telegraph Dept. or the Railways or an employee of a public sector undertaking posted and stationed in M.P. on or before January 1, of the year of examination till the date of Admission
    • A person settled in M.P. under any resettlement scheme sanctioned by the Government of India or the State Government of M.P.

Availability of Forms for MP PET2011

The forms for MP PET 2011 are expected to be available by April in the office of Professional Examination Board or any of the State Engineering Colleges. The form can also be obtained by post from Board Office by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.

Online Application Forms: 2nd week of March-1st week of April, 2011.

  • Physics-300 marks
  • Chemistry-300 marks

How to take the Test

Candidate can choose any one of the two options Paper-Pencil Test or Computer Based Test (Online Test)

Paper-Pencil Test will be held on 01 May 2011 . The paper-pencil test timing is 1000 – 1230 hrs. Reporting time at test centre is 0900 hrs

Computer Based Test (Online Test) will be held from From 07 May 2011 (Saturday) onwardsonwards in different time slots at specified test venues; subject to number of candidates registering for Computer Based Test.

    • Test Centre City list is provided in the bulletin. Test Venues for Paper-Based Test and Computer Based Test are different. 
    • The Paper-Based Test will take place only on one day i.e., 01 May 2011 at one time slot i.e., 10.00am-12.30pm, whereas the Computer Based Test will take place from 07 May 2011 onwards in different time slots.
    • If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is limited and can be accommodated in a single day; the test will be completed on 07 May 2011 itself.
    • If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is few in a particular centre, these candidates have to appear for the Paper-Based Test on 01 May 2011 only.
    • One candidate can appear only for one date for the May 2011 MAT.

Admit Card

  • All provisionally registered candidates both for Paper Based and Computer Based Test can down load their Admit Card from AIMA website link: www.aima-ind.org/mat_centre.aspx 7 days before the Paper Based test date i.e., with effect from 23 April 2011 (Saturday).
  • Specific Admit Card will be generated both for the candidates opted for the Paper Based Test and for the Computer Based Test.
  • Admit Card would be having Candidate Name, Form No, Roll NO, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address. Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to them in the case of Computer Based Test.
Candidates applied for Computer Based Test and who have been permitted to appear for the Computer Based Test; have to down load the Admit Card 7 days before the Paper Based Test date  i.e., with effect from 23 April 2011 (Saturday) from AIMA website. Candidates accessing the website the earliest can choose the Date and Time of his/her choice subject to availability. Those who have not opted the date and time slot for 4-5 days; will be automatically allotted date and time slot by the system. No request for change of date and time slot can be entertained

BITSAT

BITSAT  is a Computer based online test for Admission to Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS Pilani Campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.

BITSAT 2011

Eligibility Criteria

For admission to any of the Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS the candidate should have passed the 12th class examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Further, the candidate should have obtained a minimum of 80% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th class examination, at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and adequate proficiency in English. However, admissions will be made only on his/her merit position based on the score obtained in BITSAT2011. Only Students who are appearing for 12th class examination in 2011 or who have passed the 12th class examination in 2010 are eligible to appear for BITSAT2011.

 

If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed. Students who have passed 12th examination in 2009 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2011. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2011


Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) Test

CBT test is conducted by CAG having 37 test centers all over India for departmental promotions. Among various engineering colleges , GEC is  chosen as Test centre of CAG test due to its state of art infrastructure.
This test was conducted online from 25th Nov 2010 to 30th Nov 2010 and HCL K2 lab of GEC provide full infrastructure in order to perform this test successfully

JEE - 2011

National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology and its affiliated Institutes constantly endeavor to impart Hospitality, knowledge, skills, concepts and techniques in the right environment for the students to learn and emerge as global Hospitality Service providers.

Eligibility

Pass in 12th of 10+2 or equivalent with English as one of the subjects. Students from Science; Commerce; Humanities and other recognized streams may apply. Students who are to appear in the 12th examination in year 2011 are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit & Reservation of Seats

Age Limit as on 01.07.2011: 22 years in case of General/Open/OBC (Central list non-creamy layer)/ PH/ Kashmiri Migrant candidates. 25 years in case of SC/CT category candidates.
Reservation of Seat: Reservation of seats are as per rules applicable respectively to Institutes of Hotel Management.
