Training & Placement Cell

GEC has recognized the importance of T & P cell since its inception it has been fully operational. The cell has professional approach in its working. This cell is guided by advisor Dr. G.P. Bhatnagar (Ex-Director BSF Academy) & Executive-Director of GEC Shri Satya Sheel Sharma along with Prof. Sumbul Khan.

The placement cell plays an important role in scouting and locating job opportunities for the young Engineers passing out from the college by keeping liaisons with reputed, Multi National Companies & Industrial Establishments. It functions under the supervision of well experienced & highly qualified person who was the director of BSF Academy for more than 10 years & retired as IG BSF he is well conversant with the top level management of various MNCs, Chief of Armed forces & establishments, Govt. & Public sector organisations. The placement cell operates year around to facilitate contacts between Industries & Institute. The aim of cell is to place maximum number of students through campus interview. The various multinational & Foreign-based companies visited the institute to conduct campus interview.

Career Guidance Programme

Training & placement cell organizes various career guidance programmes regularly for Ist, IInd, IIIrd & IVth year students. The cell arranges various programmes like preparation for interview which includes group discussion, improvement of communication, technical, personnel and managerial skills, individual presentations, mock test, etc. in this way the hidden talent of students are unearthed and made available for the betterment & growth. T. & P. Cell makes available study materials for GATE, MAT, GMAT, CAT, TOEFL, CDS, GRE, UPSC, SSB, PCS, M.P. PSC and various other entrance examinations in addition to helping them for major projects and industrial training. Ground tasks for physical training are also conducted for those students who are interested to join services.

Career Talk

Expert lectures are organized for the up gradation & updating knowledge, skill & attitude of students. Career Talks include topics such as job opportunities in the field of Engineering & Technology in India & Abroad. How to improve the personality, how to face campus interviews, how to improve communication, the experts define technical & managerial skills, etc. The college has arranged lectures of various experts on the topics of placement opportunities in various private & govt. organisations, higher studies in India and Abroad, development of recent trends in Electronics, Computer Science, and Mechanical & Information Technology.

Industry-Institute Partnership Cell

The industry-institute partnership cell has been established in the college. Students are placed for practical training in the industry according to their areas of specialization.

Faculty members of respective departments conduct guidance and training of students in different industries.

This cell is responsible for the purposeful industry-institute interaction. This enables consultation, diffusion of new technology and technological up gradation.

The cell has senior faculty to represent their respective branches as members. The cell also helps the students for industrial visits & executes vocational practical training in IV & VI semester and to select minor & major project in the same industry in continuation. It enables continuous contact of a student with a particular industry and may lead to placement in the same industry based on good performance & contacts.

The college has successfully organized a National workshop on ‘Energy Conservation’ in association with Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), Bhopal and SISI, Gwalior (A unit of Ministry of Industries, Govt.
