Workshop on Cisco Technology & Networking

Department of Computer Science & Engineering and IT organized one day workshop on Cisco Technology and Networking on 30th March 2010. This workshop conducts by HCL info System Limited.

The Networking workshop was inaugurated by Mr. and Mr. Manish from HCL Info System Ltd., Er. Amar Sharma and Dr. D.P. Sharma of GEC. In this workshop 80 students and 20 faculties participated.

Today, networks are an essential part of business, education, government and home communications, and Cisco Internet Protocol-based (IP) networking solutions are the foundation of these networks. Since the company's inception, Cisco engineers have been leaders in the development of Internet Protocol (IP)-based networking technologies. This tradition of innovation continues with industry-leading products in the core areas of routing and switching, as well as advanced technologies in areas such as Home Networking, IP Telephony, Optical, Network Security, Storage Networking and Wireless LAN.

The students will learn the basics concepts and will gain the practical experience while working on the Networking. They will be introduced to the basic fundamentals of Protocols and will learn to apply them in real life.

This workshop aims to provide a technical platform for the young technical minds so as to smoothen their technical journey in the field of Networking. It basically consists of basic fundamentals and practical concepts of basic Protocols and Cisco Products like Routers and Switches and its various applications.
This workshop is free of cost to the student and college provides a lot of facility. In this workshop the total 100 number of students participated and successfully completed the workshop. This workshop successfully completed
